About

I work with an NGO called SPACE (Science Popularisation Association of Communicators and Educators) that works at promoting scientific temper in the community through astronomy. I write a lot of articles on basic astronomy concepts and common misconception prevalent in astronomy targeted at school students. My work requires me to travel across the country and so after spending almost my entire life in Pune I was based in New Delhi for a year. Currently I have moved to Hyderabad and a few other cities are on the horizon.

I have studied Physics as an undergraduate student and Space Sciences with Astrophysics for my post graduation, both from University of Pune. I have a special interest in Radio Astronomy and have studied Jupiter’s radio emissions by building a half-wave dipole and followed it up with a project at the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA) to search for long period Pulsars along the galactic plane. For this I took observations form the Giant Meterwave Radio Telescope (GMRT) near Pune, India.

Lost Reality is the world’s window looking into my mind. I will not put a lot of articles on astronomy here (perhaps not any) but there will be accounts of my thoughts when I go out for observations under the night sky, armed with a small telescope and large expectations. While these might tend to be humorous, Lost Reality will also be a platform where I voice my philosophical ideas. These will tend to be paedogogical and hopefully convincing.

Hope you enjoy… and do let me know what you think.

You know you have written in a way, as if you are communicating, sitting right in front of me. Nice feeling =)
